Drone and FPV filming in Trabzon.

404 Productions is a video production studio based in Trabzon, Türkiye, that films drone and FPV footage for businesses. We fly the DJI Air 3, Mavic 3 and Avata 2 over and through hotels, restaurants, gyms, ports and shipyards, then edit the footage into reels, brand films and website material.

What we film

A drone shot tells viewers where a place is and how it sits in its surroundings in a single frame: a hotel facing the sea, a bungalow resort on a plateau road, a restaurant on the coast road or a ship coming alongside in the port. FPV is the opposite move: a continuous flight through the inside of a venue. Entering through the door and gliding across the dining room, the kitchen or the training floor makes a strong opening for a vertical reel.

Our archive includes Avata 2 FPV flights for a marina and a gym, and aerial footage of a shipyard and a port. Because we film on the ground on the same day, the aerial shots join the rest of the edit with one colour treatment and one rhythm.

Equipment and how we work

  • DJI Air 3: dual camera, wide and medium focal lengths, quick to launch; coast and city shots.
  • DJI Mavic 3: large sensor, cleaner footage in low light and at sunset; the main aerial camera for brand films.
  • DJI Avata 2: FPV drone with a guarded frame for interiors, door and corridor passes, gym and restaurant tours.
  • On the ground: Sony A7S III, A7 IV and A7R III, graded in the same colour pipeline as the drone footage.
  • A flight plan before every shoot: take-off point, route, time of day, light direction and a backup day.

Permits, airspace and safety

Civil drone flights in Türkiye fall under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (SHGM) Unmanned Aircraft Systems Instruction (SHT-İHA), which was revised in 2026. As a rule, camera drones must be registered, the pilot must hold the matching competency certificate, and depending on the zone a flight needs a permit or a notification. Trabzon Airport sits right next to the city centre and the coast road, so many central locations are in controlled airspace; flights there need extra coordination or are not possible at all.

We do not fly over crowds. For events, weddings or openings we plan routes that never pass over people. Before every shoot we check the location and the current rules against SHGM sources and add any permit lead time to the proposal and schedule. This page is not legal advice; we confirm with you, location by location, whether a flight is possible.

Who it is for

  • Hotels and bungalow resorts: location, views, pools and the layout of the buildings.
  • Restaurants and cafés: coast or plateau setting, terrace at sunset, FPV walk-through.
  • Gyms and fight clubs: a single FPV take that flies through the whole floor.
  • Ports, shipyards and industry: scale of the site, ships and cranes in motion, construction progress.
  • Schools, clinics and shops: building and campus overviews, openings and event recaps.

What you get

Edited vertical reels and story cuts (1080×1920), aerial shots cut into a horizontal brand film, and selected aerial stills for your website or Google Maps profile. On request we also hand over the colour-corrected source shots. All footage is stored in our archive by client and shoot day, so we can return to the same shots for a new edit months later. Drone and FPV filming is not part of monthly content work and is priced separately.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best drone filming company in Trabzon?

Ask for registered drones and a certified pilot, a plan for controlled airspace near Trabzon Airport, and footage the company shot itself. We fly DJI Air 3, Mavic 3 and Avata 2 FPV, check every location before the shoot, and show our drone work in the portfolio.

Do you need a permit to fly a drone in Trabzon?

Generally yes. Under SHGM's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Instruction the drone must be registered, the pilot must hold a competency certificate, and depending on the zone the flight needs a permit or a notification. Rules are stricter near Trabzon Airport. Send us the location and we will confirm before the shoot whether a flight is possible and how much lead time it needs.

Can you fly a drone in the city centre or on the coast?

The airport is very close to the city centre and the coast road, so many central spots are in controlled airspace. Some can be flown with coordination, some cannot be flown at all. In that case we build the plan around a more distant take-off point, ground cameras or an indoor FPV shoot.

What is FPV filming and can it be done inside my venue?

FPV is a continuous single take flown through a space, with the pilot seeing through the drone's camera via goggles. We use the guard-framed DJI Avata 2 inside restaurants, cafés, hotel lobbies and gyms. We schedule it when the venue is closed or quiet, and everyone inside is informed in advance.

How long does a drone shoot take, and what if the weather is bad?

It depends on the size of the site and the number of shots; we set the date together in the proposal. Wind and rain change quickly on the Black Sea coast, so every drone shoot has a backup day. If conditions are not safe, we do not fly.

Is drone filming included in monthly social media work?

No. Drone and FPV filming is a separate service and is priced separately. You can book a one-off drone shoot without being a monthly content client. We don't publish packages or price lists; we agree the scope and send a written proposal.
